Description
This is a Sources Sought announcement for market survey purposes only. This is not a solicitation for proposals and no contract will be awarded as a result of this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. The United States Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM), Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, anticipates a requirement to modify the Foreign National Ally (Greece's) King Air (KA) B200 aircraft Flight Management System (FMS) (single installation) with the Universal Avionics UNS-1Ew to enhance the navigational database capacity. Provisions for Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) (antenna and A-kit) are also included with this effort. The Contractor shall provide hardware, design, modification, system integration, test, and certification support required to upgrade two (2) KA B200 aircraft with a fully certified and functional UNS-1Ew FMS. The work needed to complete this effort will be performed at the Hellenic Army Airfield in Megara, Greece. This requirement is in support of a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case. Interested sources are requested to provide the following information: 1. Company name, CAGE code, and business size. 2. Documentation demonstrating the ability to modify a King Air B200 to install the required Flight Management System. 3. A brief description of the company's experience of modifying King Air aircraft and installation of Flight Management Systems. 4.Identification of issues, concerns, or contingencies (if any) that might hinder the company from providing a firm-fixed-price for the entire effort if requested to do so in a future Request for Proposals. 5. Estimated time required to complete the installation of the FMS into the two aircraft. 6. The estimated total price per aircraft to include all anticipated costs of purchase of material, travel to the Country's facilities, modification of aircraft, installation of the FMS, inspections and flight test. 7. Identify any standard commercial warranties' as applicable. 8. Responders to this Sources Sought announcement may supply a recommended Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) structure, which may be utilized in a future Request for Proposal. 9. Identify your company's status in the Federal Government's System for Award Management (SAM) system. 10. Respondent's interest in bidding on a solicitation in support of this requirement, if it is issued.
