Description
This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, for Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The US Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground, Tenant/Garrison Contracting Division, 6001 Combat Drive, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005, in support of US Army LCRTR, Director of Logistics, APG, MD 21005 for 1 each Key Control System, 200 key system and 2 each Key Control System, 16 key system. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 335999 and the business size standard is 500. The government intends to award a firm fixed price, sole source purchase order, using FAR Part 13, to Key Tracer Systems Inc, 2662 Lazy Meadow Lane, Apopka, FL 32703. Sole source justification Authority is in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT). VENDOR MUST HAVE AN APPROVED CERTIFICATE OF NETWORTHINESS FOR ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND. The intended delivery date is 30 October 2014. A certificate of networthiness will take a minimum of 9 months to a year to approve therefore any vendor not having not having a certificate at this time will not be able to provide the items. All responses received within three (3) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government providing they have the certificate. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the descretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 12:00 PM eastern time, 25 September 2014. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. Efforts to solicit other contractors are being made via this announcement in accordance with FAR 5.2. The anticipated cost of this acquisition is determined fair and reasonable by comparison of prices proposed in other purchases of this nature.
