Description
See revise Statement of Work dated 9/22/14 The purpose of RFQ AMENDMENT 1 is the replace the SOW and reopen the solicitation until 9/26/14 when it closes. The reason for the amendment is that the original SOW required correction. An Offeror who submitted a quote to the original RFQ must confirm that your original quote is still valid to meet the revised Statement of Work (v2) if this is the case. If not, resubmit a new quote. If your original quote is still valid for RFQ amendment 1 then you may either resubmit into FBO or send e-mail to paula.r.armstead@uscg.mil and james.j.dawson@uscg.mil stating that the original quote is still applicable. The attached Statement of Work (SOW) (v2) replaces the original SOW. The SOW change clarifies the requirement for removal of swing gates and replacement of cantilever slide gate as well as removal of gate operator system and replacement with a direct drive gate operator with battery backup. Other gate features are identified with part numbers provided that are to be provided as brand name or equal. In addition, the cantilever slide gate will match the existing decorative fence and the decorative swing gates that are removed by the Contractor will remain as the property of the Government. The desired delivery schedule is no later than 60 days after purchase order award. Alternate proposal delivery dates may be considered. he Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (CG) DCMS-34 is the sponsor for this effort. The Coast Guard seeks qualified vendor(s) to provide a slide gate and gate operator with battery backup at USCG Station Fort Pierce, Florida. (i) This acquisition uses the simplified procedures for acquisition within the threshold value under the test program for commercial items per FAR 13.5. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared In accordance with (IAW) the format at FAR subpart 12.6 (Streamlined Procedures), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only written solicitation; quotations are being requested; and a written (formal) solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation and any amendments that include answers to questions will be provided through the FEDERAL BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES (FBO) website https://www.fbo.gov. (ii) The solicitation number for this requirement is HSCG23-14-Q-7K1900 and it is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). (iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 05-76 dated July 26, 2014. (iv) This procurement is competition for all responsible sources. Applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is: 561621, Security Systems Services (except Locksmiths). The Department of Homeland Security, USCG Office of Contract Operations CG-9121 intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order for a firm requirement. This RFQ will be awarded with/without discussions as necessary. (v) Due to the nature of this work and the difficulty in accurately conveying the nature of the installation site in writing, site visits are strongly encouraged. Request for site visits should be made to Theodore Troy at (202) 372 - 3769 or e-mail theodore.l.troy@uscg.mil. Please allow at least 24 hours notice. (vi) Description of Requirement: See Attachment 1- Statement of Work- Replacement of Automated Motor Vehicle Gate and Gate Operator at USCG Station Fort Pierce -dated August 21, 2014 See Attachment 2- Terms & Conditions (vii) The quotation must have a valid DUNS number and be registered with System for Award Management (SAM) (www.sam.gov) and shall provide the company TAX Information (TIN) with their offer. The quotation is due no later than September 26, 2014 by 5:00 pm ES. Offerors must submit in FBO with courtesy copies sent by e-mail to paula.r.armstead@uscg.mil and james.j.dawson@uscg.mil sent by any other means may be excluded. (viii) The desired delivery schedule is no later than 60 days after purchase order award. Alternate proposal delivery dates may be considered.
