- 52.212-2 EVALUATION- COMMERCIAL ITEMS (JAN 1999) 9/22/2014 This solicitation is hereby amended to modify the basis for award. All vendors who previously provided a quote do not have to provide a new quote. U.S. Government ~ Tax Exempt Solicitation Information All quotes/responses shall be submitted via email to Marcia Rennie at marcia.rennie@navy.mil no later than 5 P.M EST September 16, 2014. PLEASE QUOTE ALL LINE ITEMS OR NONE. Solicitation N00421-14-T-0584 is issued as a brand name procurement. The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis, and to solicit and negotiate the proposed purchase order on a brand name basis for EMC Deduplication Annual Hardware Maintenance Renewal (Offeror's must be authorized distributors), under the authority implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) by FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13.106-1(b). Offeror's must be registered in the System for Award Management Registration (SAM) database prior to submission of an offer to be considered for award of any DoD contract. This may be accomplished electronically at http://www.sam.gov. This is a firm fixed-price procurement; therefore, the offeror's initial offer should represent the vendor's best quote in terms of price and technical acceptability. Your quote must contain enough technical information to evaluate your quote. Your quote will only be evaluated on the information you provide. ***Basis for Award*** The Government intends to award this on a brand name basis. All interested parties MUST submit a brand name quote no later than 5 P.M EST September 16, 2014. Only brand name responses will be considered. Offeror's must be authorized distributors. Award will be made to the vendor that submits the lowest, aggregate, firm fixed-price, brand name quotation. If two or more quotes are equal the award shall be made by drawing of lot limited to valid quotes.
