Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Acquisition Operations (OAO), Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 23 Christopher Way, Eatontown, New Jersey, intends to enter into a contract on a basis of other than full and open competition for existing Local Data Connections (LDC) communication voice and data services for VA Region 2 (R2), Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 12 Telecommunications Business Office (VISN 12 TBO) AT&T infrastructure. These LDC services consist of all data service connectivity and necessary equipment to ensure internet and intranet communications continues between hospitals and access to mission critical information such as patient records continues. The Contractor shall provide LDC services at the facility 24 hours per day, seven days per week with maximum service availability. The intended sole source award will be a firm-fixed price contract with SBC Global Services, Inc doing business as AT&T Global Services, 3033 Chain Bridge Road, Oakton, Virginia 22124. The Statutory Authority for this effort falls under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1 entitled, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) for this effort is 517110. The estimated date of award for this action is October 01, 2014. This notice does not in itself represent the issuance of a formal request for proposal/quote and is not intended to be taken as such. This notification shall close on September 29, 2014.
