DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This project is a renourishment of the Jupiter/Carlin segments of the Palm Beach County Shore Protection Project. The constructed beach berm will have a minimum elevation of +7.5 feet (North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD88)) with a +0.5' fill tolerance. The crest of berm for the entire contract references the Construction Baseline (CBL). The offshore borrow area for the project is located approximately 8.1 nautical miles south-southwest of the beach placement area. Work also includes, but is not limited to, beach tilling, construction/vibration controls and monitoring, turbidity monitoring, sea turtle trawl sweeping and relocation, endangered species observers, and beach fill remediation. Magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. COAST GUARD CERTIFIED VESSELS ARE REQUIRED. The request for proposal will be issued on or about 31 July 2014 and proposals will be due on or about 3 September 2014. The award of the task order will be made on the basis of Lowest Price Technical Acceptable (LPTA); the technical evaluation factors are availability of technically acceptable plant and equipment and past performance.
