Description

Single Source Justification NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The U.S. Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Desert Southwest Regional Office (DSW), intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), to DMC Power, Inc., 623 E Artesta Blvd, Carson, CA 90746-1201, 310-323-1616, for the purchase of various DMC Power brand name connectors and terminals along with a 3 month rental of the following brand-name equipment: Power Unit DLT45MAPW0000, Head Assembly DLT45CHA15900 and Pump DLT12MAPE1001. The basis for this sole source award is outlined in the Single Source Justification attached. All responsible sources may identify their interest by submitting a capability statement in response to this requirement, which shall be considered by the agency. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. No solicitation will be posted. All interest/capability statements must be received by the Government by no later than 2:00pm local time 25 Sept 2014, via e-mail to Greg Cagle, Contracting Officer at cagle@wapa.gov, or mail to Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration, Desert Southwest Region, P.O. Box 6457, Attn: Greg Cagle, Phoenix, AZ 85005-6457. No phone calls will be accepted. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 335999 with a size standard of 500 employees.
