- Description
- The Contractor shall provide all labor, management, supervision, tools, material, transportation, and equipment required to perform preventive maintenance and repair of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) at various U.S. military facilities on Naval Base Guam Apra Harbor, Guam. Services shall be provided by means of Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) and Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity work. The Defense Logistics Agency/Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office, Guam has the responsibility of processing up to 30 million dollars of surplus property each year. This mission, along with their precious metal recovery program, scrap metal sales, and the disposal of hazardous property/waste is DLA Disposition Services Guam ™s contribution to our nation ™s Defense. The mission to provide this support constitutes a service provided to federal agencies, military services and a contractual obligation to civilian buyers. Delays in this operation could result in penalties to the United States Government for failure to meet contractual obligations. To meet these obligations, DLA Disposition Services Guam must have Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operational at all times. The importance of the mission and seriousness of the impact of inoperative equipment makes prompt repairs essential.
