- The 409th Contracting Support Brigade Theater Contracting Center in Kaiserslautern, Germany intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract to General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), (CAGE: 07MU1), 3211 Jermantown Rd, 22030-2844 Fairfax for the EUCOM Operational Influence Platform (OIP). The FFP contract is anticipated to have a period of performance of one (1) year (September 21, 2014 through September 20, 2015). The Government intends to award this FFP contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is the only contract source that can satisfy the requiring activity's requirement to continue providing uninterrupted services after 20 September 2014. The incumbent GDIT has all the necessary assets in place and there will be no need to incur additional costs of bringing a new contractor to provide the same services the incumbents have been providing during the last four years. While other contractors can meet the Government's requirement, it is necessary that the incumbent contractors continue providing uninterrupted services. A competitive follow-on procurement is currently underway for these services; however, award will not be until May 2015, with full performance starting in September 2015. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR A SOLICITATION OF OFFERS.
