- The proposed contract action is for commercial services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority for FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within five days after date of publication of this notice of intent. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. ANTEK is considered the only recognized local reseller and installer of the Walton Hot Air De-Ice System with previous knowledge of the working environment and antenna system of the United States Naval Observatory. In addition to ANTEK ™s unique knowledge of the satellite antennas, including the complicated wiring and usage requirements, the company has the ability to provide a full system check to ensure the new equipment is working properly, training for USNO employees, and system maintenance/warranty in order to remedy any issues. The applicable North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 335999.
