- BARD SOLR search engine The National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS) is seeking a contractor to provide SOLR Based search engine for BARD digital talking books and magazine website. The NLS Audio Reading Download (BARD) website is used by NLS patrons who are blind and physically handicapped to download digital talking books and magazines. The contract will consist of 7 parts - the first deals with the developing documentatoin to allow NLS staff to install the SOLR server software on a NLS provided server and instructing NLS staff on the installation and configuration. The last steps to implementing the aforementioned accessible web interfaces and web based API utilizing using PHP code. This will be a Firm Fixed Price Contract under LCNLS14Q0094 (attached). All questions should be submitted no later than 9/23/14 via email to adoz@loc.gov and answers posted on 9/24/14. All response are due 9/25/14.
