- Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Gordon, GA intends to negotiate/award a sole-source contract with Activu Corporation; 301 Round Hill Drive; Rockaway, NJ 07866. Customer submitted a Limited Source Justification for brand name only items. The Displays (DLP Rear projection) are a purpose built 24/7-365 designed Display Cube that require specific tools training, experience and factory authorization to install, configure and Maintain. Mitsubishi Electric provides product and warranty parts/service only through authorized companies. Activu is Mitsubishi's only component level authorized repair facility and owns the proprietary rights to the system. There are no other known providers with this capability at this time. The NAICS code is 334310. The authority for this non-competitive award is 10 USC 2304(c) (1), Only One Responsible Source. The Government intends to procure this sole source requirement under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR part 13 and Commercial procedures in FAR part 12. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and a solicitation will not be issued. Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written responses are received by 11:00 a.m. on 22 September 2014, an award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the government.
