- FY14 Repair Electrical Distribution Systems Phase 2, High Voltage Repairs. This project is the second phase of a multi-year project that will repair existing electrical distribution systems in various locations throughout NASA Glenn Research Centers Lewis Field campus. The work includes repairs of the following high voltage components: 1.Replace existing 2.4 kV switchgear at two substations. 2.Replace existing 34.5 kV oil circuit breakers with new SF6 units 3.Replace obsolete backup 138kV relaying with modern industrial grade micro-processor-based relaying. 4.Replace an existing 34.5-2.4kV, 5MVA, LTC transformer. Work shall also include new transformer controls and interface to an existing digital control system. Specific professional skills required include schedule management, procurement of materials and services, job site safety and environmental management, quality control management and subcontractor coordination.
