Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with Kaman Aerospace, Middletown, CT for the procurement of 3 each of Part Number 209588-101, Ground Station Adapter Cable and Part Number 209605-302, 64GB Data Transfer Device for the US Navy in support of C-130 aircraft. NAWCAD intends to award one Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity FAR Part 12 contract. That contract will also include options for up to 6 each Part Number 209588-101, Ground Station Adapter Cable and Part Number 209605-302, 64GB Data Transfer Device for each of the next two years. Kaman Aerospace is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer Part Number 209588-101, Ground Station Adapter Cable and Part Number 209605-302, 64GB Data Transfer Device for use in the C-130. The US Navy does not possess the technical data necessary to compete this procurement. The Government intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) as cited in FAR 6.302-1, Only One Reasonable Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, therefore, this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within in the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received within seven (7) days of publication of this notice. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for an award of contract.
