- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with OPEX Corporation for the OPEX Mail Tray Holder, the OPEX MLOCR, and maintenance for OPEX sorting equipment. These products and services will work in conjunction with SSA's OPEX MPS-40 sorting machine. OPEX is the only source known to the Government that sells mail tray holders, MLOCRs, and maintenance that are compatible with the OPEX MPS-40. The authority for this acquisition is set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). This is a FOB Destination requirement, and delivery is required 60 days after award. The Government anticipates award of a firm-fixed-price order. Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. This is not a request for quotation, and the Government does not intend to pay for information received. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
