- Description
- The U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) seeks other than full and open competition and intends to conduct a sole source Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for the destruction of non-hazardous confidential documents and electronic storage media to Covanta Huntsville Inc., at 5251 Triana Boulevard, Huntsville, AL 35805. Covanta is the only known vendor in the states of Mississippi and Alabama with the waste to energy credentials required to handle the destruction of government confidential documents and electronic storage media. Under the authority of Citation: 41 U.S.C. 5(3) - Pursuant to Materials Management Acquisition Regulation (MMAR) Part 6.302-1(a) "Sole Source", When only one source of supplies is available. This notice is neither a request for proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responses shall be sent to Senior Contracting Officer Bobbie L. McKoy at bmckoy@gpo.gov on or before September 23, 2014 no later than 12:00 noon, EST.
