- Sole Source This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE purchase order under Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13. The Naval Special Warfare Command, 2000 Trident Way, San Diego, CA 92155 has a requirement to procure the following items: CLIN 0001 TV Service Description: Business and Local Channels, must also include: CNN, FOX News, MSNBC, The Weather Channel, BBC America and Al Jazeera America POP: 28 Sep 14 - 27 Jan 15 CLIN 0002 Installation Services and Associated Equipment Description: Material and installation of equipment associated with CLIN 0001 Delivery Date: 28 Sep 14 CLIN 1001 TV Service Description: Business and Local Channels, must also include: CNN, FOX News, MSNBC, The Weather Channel, BBC America and Al Jazeera America POP: 28 Sep 15 - 27 Jan 16 CLIN 2001 TV Service Description: Business and Local Channels, must also include: CNN, FOX News, MSNBC, The Weather Channel, BBC America and Al Jazeera America POP: 28 Sep 16 - 27 Jan 17 CLIN 3001 TV Service Description: Business and Local Channels, must also include: CNN, FOX News, MSNBC, The Weather Channel, BBC America and Al Jazeera America POP: 28 Sep 17 - 27 Jan 18 CLIN 0004 TV Service Description: Business and Local Channels, must also include: CNN, FOX News, MSNBC, The Weather Channel, BBC America and Al Jazeera America POP: 28 Sep 18 - 27 Jan 19 The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) sole source order/contract to DirecTv. This firm is the only know source capable of meeting the requirement in a cost effective manner. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 515120 and the Business Size Standard is $35.5M. All responses received within five (5) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 3:00 PM Pacific Time, Monday, September 23, 2014. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. For questions concerning this Notice of Intent, contact Mr. Greg Orr at Gregory.orr@navsoc.sosom.mil. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received thirty days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. The Government will notify parties of the outcome of any proposal submitted in response. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
