- Modernizations/updates to the operational proofing package are required due to the obsolescence of the current proofing test equipment. The current proofing equipment is no longer supported as of December 2013. The contractor shall convert test capability for three network switch acceptance tests, 2 Alcatel S/R-5 and 1 Brocade FLS624, from the existing 7128688 Test Station to the new 7137632 Test Station along with a Programmable Read Only Memory (PROM) Verify test for all three network switches. These actions need to be performed simultaneously in order to deliver the operational proofing package by September 30, 2015. Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS) Pittsfield, MA. GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the United States and United Kingdom TRIDENT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort.
