- Within 30 to 60 days from the date this notice is published, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) anticipates issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP), DE-SOL-0006499, to receive, handle, and treat Low Level Waste (LLW) and Mixed Low Level Waste (MLLW). These wastes may also include liquid and solid Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) regulated waste e.g., polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), asbestos, etc. Also DOE seeks, under this requirement, services such as: Treatment Storage Disposal Facility (TSDF) Authorized Release for Directed Disposal including Bulk Survey for Release (BSFR), Restricted and Unrestricted Recycling/Reuse, Low Activity Waste (LAW) Services, Ancillary Services, and support in establishing authorized release limits. A dedicated webpage has been established for this procurement. All news/announcements, documents, including the RFP, questions/answers, and related links will be posted to the following webpage: www.emcbc.doe.gov/SEB/llwmllwtreatment. The RFP will also be posted to the Fedconnect website at: www.fedconnect.net. The contract award resulting from the RFP is expected to be made in or around the 2nd quarter of fiscal year 2015. It is DOE?s intent to issue one or more Basic Ordering Agreements (BOAs) as a result of this RFP to firms whose proposals are in accordance with the terms and conditions of the solicitation and meet all the technical acceptability criteria listed in Section M. This RFP is issued on a full-and-open, unrestricted basis. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 562211 ? Hazardous Waste Treatment and Disposal, Size Standard $35.5 Million (annual receipts).
