- The US Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration intend to award a sole source contract to Minact Inc., 5220 Keele Street, Jackson, MS 39206. The statutory authority permitting the acquisition of this requirement by other than full and open competition is 41 USC 254 C (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirement. Job Corps is a national training program that provides comprehensive academic, residential and career technical and training services to approximately 60,000 disadvantaged youth each year at 125 Job Corps Centers. The requirement is for the operation of the Gerald R. Ford Job Corps Center located in Grand Rapids, MI. The anticipated period of performance is a six (6) month base period; with two option periods. The option consists of 2 six month option periods. The requirement includes the provision of academic, vocational, social skills, and career development training and related support services for an estimated 212 students (212 residential and 0 non-residential. The contractor shall operate residential quarters (housing) and services to all students applicable. This is a sole source notice published for informational purposes only and not a request for proposals. Therefore, no solicitation documents exist for this requirement. However, all responsible parties interested in responding to this notice are invited to submit a capability statement incudeing costs by 3:00 pm.
