- HSCG38-14-Q-200193 REQUIREMENTS Solicitation Number: HSCG38-14-Q-200193 Notice Type: Pre-solicitation NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT: The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) Short Range Recovery (SRR) Division intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Able Engineering. A firm fixed price Purchase Order will be awarded for the repair of Drive Adapter Scissors, Equipped Supports, MGB Housings, Oil Pump Covers, and Oil Pump Covers utilized on the H-65 aircraft. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 336413 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. It has been determined that Able Engineering is the only source capable of acquiring the parts required to repair the spare parts mentioned above at this time. No solicitation package will be issued. The statutory authority for this acquisition is 10 U.S.C 2304(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1 (b) (1) (ii), only one source is available for this acquisition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can provide the services described above may give written notification to Isaac Brothers at Isaac.L.Brothers@uscg.mil no later than 11:00 am EST on 11 September 2014. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
