- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR CONVOLUTED METAL FLEXIBLE HOSE ASSEMBLIES. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to: 1) correct the wording and specification listed in the section Bend Radius on page 2, of the Government Minimum Specification; 2) correct the wording and specification listed on page 8, Table 1, of the Government Minimum Specification; 3) provide replacement pages 1, 2, and 8 due to the revisions; and 3) extend the RFQ response date. 1) The wording and specification listed in section Bend Radius, (now Static Bend Radius) page 2, in the Government Minimum Specification, is corrected to read as follows: TO: Static Bend Radius. The hose assembly shall be capable of static flexure, while pressurized, to the minimum static bend radius specified in Table 1 over its useful life. FROM: Bend Radius. The hose assembly shall be capable of repeated flexure, while pressurized, to the minimum bend radius specified in Table 1 over its useful life. 2) Table 1, page 8, as to the last column entitled Minimum Bend Radius (Inches) and as to the NOTE below Table 1 are corrected to read as follows: Table 1, last column changed TO: MINIMUM STATIC BEND RADIUS (Inches) Note below Table 1 changed TO: *NOTE:MAWPs and Minimum Static Bend Radius apply to both configurations of hose assemblies regardless of type of end fittings. Table 1, last column changed FROM: MINIMUM BEND RADIUS (Inches) Note below Table 1 changed FROM: *NOTE:MAWPs and Minimum Bend Radius apply to both configurations of hose assemblies regardless of type of end fittings. 3) Replacement pages 2 and page 8 are attached reflecting the above corrections. A replacement page is being provided for page 1 to reflect the revision date to the Government Minimum Specification. Please remove existing pages 1, 2, and 8 of the last revised Government Minimum Specification and insert the attached replacement pages (uploaded with this amendment). 4) The synopsis/RFQ's response date is extended to Sept. 17, 2014 by 4:30 p.m. ET. As stated above, the due date for receipt of offers has been to Sept. 17, 2014 by 4:30 p.m. ET.
