- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network 22 Contracting Office, intends to award a sole-source contract to Olympus America, Inc., Scientific Equipment Group, 3500 Corporate Parkway, Center Valley, PA 18034-8229 for the Olympus FK-WO Laryngo Pharyngosco Retractor. This is a notice of intent announcement only. This is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation for offers. However parties interested in responding to this notice are required to do so in writing and shall include the following: (a) company name b) address (c) point of contact (d) phone, fax, and email (e) DUNS number (f) Type of small business, if applicable, (e.g. Services Disabled Veteran Owned small Business, Veteran-owned small business, 8(a), HUB-Zone, Women Owned Small Business, Small disadvantaged business, or Small Business) (g) a capability statement that addresses the organization's qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the equipment described above (h) Is your company the manufacturer of the Olympus FK-WO Laryngo Pharyngosco Retractor, or are you an authorized distributor. Authorization must be from the manufacturer. Submissions must include technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product to Tanya Aguilar Barraza, Contract Specialist at Tanya.barraza@va.gov no later than 08:00am PST on September 12, 2014. All capability statements received by closing of this notification will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 339112 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. This is for informational purposes only and not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Any information submitted to this notice of intent is voluntary.
