Description
The Engineering Services Contract plans to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) OR Request for Quotations (RFQ)] for the following Antenna Specifications: RFTS Antenna Specification: Frequency Range: S-band 2.0 GHz to 2.4GHz Minimum Gain : 2dB Receive only VSWR: 2.0:1 maximum Polarization: RHCP Axial Ratio: 2.0 dB (max) Maximum Dimension: 1x 1 x 1 including ground plane (if applicable)+ radome Maximum Total Weight: 10 pounds RF Connector: N (female)50 Ohm Side lopes: First side lope level -40 dB (min) relative to main beam Material, Coating material: High-strength, corrosion-resistant material against hydrochloric acid and salt fog, nonflammable or self-extinguishing, cannot be damaged by ultra violet light. Material, coating material, and processes used in fabrication of the antenna will be compatible with the following environmental conditions and comply with NASA-STD-5005D Standard for the Design and Fabrication of Ground Support equipment The antenna shall be capable of performing all requirements specified herein for a minimum of 10 years. Operational Environment Conditions: Mean sea-salt particle concentration in maritime air masses: 200-300 particles/cm3 Wind speed: 47.7 m/sec(peak); 37.3m/sec ( 10-minute steady-state); 20.2m/sec (1-hour steady-state) Humidity: 0% - 100% Temperature range : 20 degree F to 150 degree F (operation) Survival Environment Conditions: This antenna will be used in class I division II environment. Radiation heat flux: 5-6BTU/ft2-sec for 5 seconds. Overall Sound Pressure Level (OASPL): 177 dB. The anticipated release date of ESC-14172-LAM is on or about 08/18/14 with an anticipated due date of on or about 09/08/14.
