- The due date for proposals is hereby extended to 3:00 pm (EST) Friday, August 15, 2014. The NRC intends to solicit and award a FAR Part 12 Commercial Item contract consisting of a base period of one year plus three (3) one-year options to extend the term of the contract. Under this contract, the contractor will provide thorough, current, and timely summary and compilation of news stories along with an archive that is searchable by keyword and date. The services will provide a daily news briefing/summary offering staff a thorough, current and timely compilation of news stories relevant to the agency's mission with an archive that is searchable by keyword and date. The services also provide social media measurement services to aid in accessing the agency's social media position. NRC anticipates a best value tradeoff process to evaluate proposals and select the awardee. The anticipated evaluation factors are technical approach, corporate experience, personnel qualifications, past performance information, and price. Non-price factors, when combined, will be significantly more important than price. The solicitation will have all of the details for solicitation requirements, terms and conditions, proposal submission instructions, and evaluation factors for award and relative order of importance of those factors. Proposal due date and time are those specified in the "Response Date" of this notice unless otherwise indicated in the solicitation. One or more solicitation amendments with answers to questions from potential offerors will be posted on FedBizOpps as soon as possible. The anticipated start date for the new contract is September 1, 2014. All questions relating to this acquisition shall be directed by email to latoya.cooper@nrc.gov, with a courtesy copy to valerie.whipple@nrc.gov, by the due date and time to be specified in the solicitation.
