- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpar 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The simplified acquisition procedures of FAR Part 13 will be used in conjunction with commercial items procedures of FAR Part 12. NAICS code is 221310, size standard is $27.5 Million. This is a Veteran Owned Small Business Set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit quote. Offeror's DUNS number 6. Equipment Place of Manufacture (include US city, state and ZIP+4; or foreign country) Description of Equipment The North Texas Veterans Health Cary System located at 4500 S. Lancaster Rd, Dallas, Texas 75216 requires the following: One (1) Water Treatment System. The water system must have heat sterilization for the water loop and the RO purification system. It must be rated for Medical use in dialysis. It must be able to produce purified water to feed 28 dialysis stations without the help of a blending valve. It must be direct feed with no water holding tank. The supplier must be within a 100 mile radius of facility to insure that any repairs and maintenance issues can be responded to within hours of any malfunction. The new system must be maintained by a water company that has been certified to work on and maintain medical RO water purification systems. A water treatment system shall include but is not limited to the following components: One (1) Reverse Osmosis (RO) water purification system with control system, One (1) heat disinfection system, One (1) Pre-treatment system, One (1) Post-treatment and distribution system, and One (1) Emergency DI interface system. The water treatment system must meet the current Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) standards, be cleared as a 510k medical device for hemodialysis use, and be installed by a qualified water treatment provider. The provider must have documentation from the water treatment manufacturer authorizing the contractor to install and maintain the system.
