- Request for Information / Sources Sought Notice The US Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO 6) on the behalf of the VA Medical Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina is conducting market research through this RFI / Sources Sought Notice to seek contract sources for Neptune Waste Disposal Units. This request will be for Brand Name Only and will have a delivery date of June 01, 2015. Neptune Waste Disposal Units. 7 EA. MFR/ # Stryker 0702-001-000. Neptune 2 Docking Station 2 EA. MFR/ # Stryker 0702-014-000. Salient Characteristics Neptune Waste Disposal Units Transaction #: 565-14-3-1019-0102 (A) Functions to be performed; Waste management system that locks away suctioned biohazards during operative procedures. (B) Performance required; or a. Rover and docking station must operate on 120V b. System decreases red bag waste c. System provides comprehensive fluid management; smoke evacuation and powere IV pole all in One device d. Fluid suction HEPA filter w/activated carbon e. System contains Smoke evacuator and ULPA filter f. Wheels for maneuverability g. Quick trap specimen collector h. SealShut technology with three levels of protection: twist seal inside manifold port, drip reduction valve in disposable manifold, and backflow prevention valve inside manifold i. SealShut Technology designed to lock away suctioned biohazards all day whether during cases, manifold change, docking, and transport j. Closed system design k. Several hands free features l. No open access points m. Capacity to handle multiple cases and applications n. Standard smoke evacuator o. Includes powered IV pole with self-retraction when turned off p. Large, tilting and rotating digital display q. Manufacturer warranty and service agreement included with purchase. (C) Essential physical characteristics; N/A - all equipment will fit in spaces required. A determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
