- The contractor will provide all labor and equipment (except as otherwise stated) to repair and maintain security barriers at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JBMDL). The entrance security barriers consist of pop-up vehicle barrier, drop-arm barriers and tire shredders. The service will be performed at the gated vehicle entrances to the McGuire and Lakehurst portions of JBMDL. This is a commercial acquisition. This pre-solicitation notice is issued as Full and Open Unrestricted Competition under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 811310 Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance and the related small business size standard $7.5M. A site visit is tentively scheduled and will be announced in the solicitation. All potential sources must obtain a DUNS number and register in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to transact business with the Department of Defense (DOD). Failure to obtain a DUNS number and register in the SAM may result in the delay of award of contract or possible award to the next otherwise successful offeror who is registered in the SAM at the time of award. The solicitation will be issued on or about 31 July 2014. The offer due date will be stated in the solicitation. The entire solicitation will be made available only on Federal Business Opportunities at www.fedbizopps.gov. Paper copies will not be made available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review the website frequently for any updates/amendments to this solicitation. All prospective offerors interested in submitting a proposal on this solicitation must have a commercial and government entity code (CAGE code).
