- Solicitation Editable copy of attachment 4 to include with your bid documents The Forest Service (FS) is soliciting bids to construct approximately 790 FT of new trail to connect two parking lots at Rumney Rocks Day Use Area. This project is located in Rumney, NH within the White Mountain National Forest, Pemigewassett Ranger District. There currently is no trail to connect these two parking lots located alongside Buffalo Road and this project will provide a safe trail for users of the area to traverse between the parking lots and not be forced to walk on Buffalo Road. This project will require rock excavation and removal and the contractor will identify the technique they propose to accomplish this. Blasting is an approved technique for this project but not required. If blasting is proposed, the Town of Rumney has adopted an ordinance for blasting which the contractor will be required to comply with. Other rock removal techniques such as a mechanical hammer or drill are acceptable means as well. The contractor shall provide all expertise, labor, supervision, services, equipment, tools, supplies, permits, coordination with utilities, transportation, and incidentals necessary to construct a new section of trail. The desired outcome is in strict accordance with the standards attached to this solicitation and adherence to the contract awarded. Work will be completed as shown in the drawings, maps and specifications as referenced or included in this contract.
