- The Fort Knox Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC)- Fort Knox, Kentucky intends to award a sole source contract to SEI Industries, to provide fire fighting water buckets (Bambi Buckets and associated components) for use with Blackhawk helicopters. This requirement is for the 11th Aviation Command, Fort Knox, Kentucky. SEI Industries is the only company that can provide a bucket system that does not require the use of aircraft electrical or engine pneumatic power to operate. This system is the only one that will meet the Army's aviation safety considerations without requiring any airframe modification. This action will result in a firm fixed priced contract for the required items. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. There is no solicitation document. No Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available for competitive proposals. Responses to this notice shall be received, in writing, no later than 04:00PM, EST, 30 July 2014, via email to Nicholas.j.cherry.mil@mail.mil. NO PHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
