- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee intends to issue sole source firm fixed priced commercial item contract to Maquet Cardiovascular US Sales LLC. The contractor will supply all material and labor in order to perform repair services on the following equipment: Model: USX10DSFVMSS; Description: X-TEN, DUAL, SF, VIDEO, MS-S; Serial Number: AR010157; Manufacturer: Maquet. The X-Ten is a surgical light utilized within the VAMC Memphis operating rooms and aids in reducing the risks of contamination during surgical procedures. Additionally, it reduces heat at the surgical site. The requirement will be sole sourced to Maquet Cardiovascular US Sales LLC in order to maintain consistency, which is imperative for measurement and accountability. In addition, Maquet Cardiovascular US Sales LLC is the manufacturer of the equipment and parts are only accessible to authorized personnel. A delay in these repair services will directly impact patient care. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), "soliciting from a single source." The NAICS code is 811219 and has a size standard of $19M for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 4:30pm. CST, July 30, 2014 to: Matthew.Cox@va.gov and Victoria.Rone3@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
