- The Pacific Regional Contracting Office at Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii intends to award a sole source contract to Neurotherm, Inc. for electrodes and probes required for the existing government-owned equipment the RF Generator. Neurotherm, Inc. is the sole manufacturer and distributor of these items. The statutory authority permitting this award without providing for full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as cited in FAR 6.302-1(a) which authorizes the governmnent to award contracts when there is only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
