- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Requisition Number W81EWF-4162-7392 applies and is issued as a Request for Quotation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334513 - Instruments and Related Products Manufacturing for Measuring, Displaying, and Controlling Industrial Process Variables. Size Standards is 500 employees. FOB Destination: Vicksburg, Mississippi. The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Engineer Research & Development Center (ERDC), Coastal and Hydraulics Laboratory (CHL) has a need for the following: Line Item 0001: Wave Height Gauge Instruments, Quantity 40, Unit: Each, Unit Price: _______, Total Amount_______ Line Item 0002: 30 cm probes, Quantity 10, Unit: Each, Unit Price: _______, Total Amount_______ Line Item 0003: 60 cm probes, Quantity 30, Unit: Each, Unit Price: _______, Total Amount_______ Line Item 0004: 100 cm probes, Quantity 30, Unit: Each, Unit Price: _______, Total Amount_______ Line Item 0005: Shipping of all items to Vicksburg, MS, Quantity 1, Unit: Job, Total Amount_______ Background The Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC), Coastal and Hydraulics Laboratory (CHL), Field Data Collection & Analysis Branch has a requirement for the measurement of surface gravity waves. Specifications CHL has specific instrument needs for the measurement of surface gravity waves. A total of forty (40) capacitance wave height gauge instruments are needed that can measure sub-millimeter changes in water level. These instruments need an accuracy of at least 0.15% of full scale and linearity of at least 0.15% of full scale. Ten (10) 30 cm, thirty (30) 60 cm, and thirty (30) 100 cm probes are needed. The change in output due to changes in air and water temperature must be no more than 0.03% of full scale per degree Centigrade. Gauges must operate in close proximity to one another or other instrumentation without interference. The capacitance wave gauges must be waterproof and designed to operate in fresh and salt water. An output frequency of at least 25Hz is required with a 5 Volt dc range. FAR Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Award shall be made to the responsible offeror whose proposal is determined to be Lowest Price Technically Acceptable in accordance with Clause 52.212-2 Evaluation -Commercial Items. Technical data is required to verify technically acceptable. Offerors must include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items with this offer.
