- Drawing Technical Specification SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, on the behalf of the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST) project, is seeking sources for a optical bench (AKA grid) for the LSST camera. The camera is to be installed in a ground based observatory. The camera will have a 65 cm focal plane constructed from CCD and wavefront guide sensors. The grid shall support, align and position the sensors inside a cryostat vacuum enclosure. The LSST optics and scale of the focal plane dictate extreme mechanical requirements in a demanding environment for optimum form and stability, provided by the grid. Technical performance specifications and drawings are included in this posting. Serious suppliers are to indicate their interest by registering thru the Vendor Portal. This is NOT a Request for Proposal or any other solicitation. Proposals received by this Notice will be disqualified
