- Description
- For Sale - Pine and Hardwood Timber: Harvesting of selected Pine trees in Forest Record Unit #17 as specified in the Special conditions of Sale. The sale consists of approximately 2,938 pine sawtimber trees containing an estimated 831,294 board feet Doyle Scale. Log scales based on Form Class 80 for pine. The timber to be harvested is located on approximately 57 acres of the East Reservation, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana as indicated on Map Drawings B15-1, and B15-2. A 10% bid deposit will be required. This agency will consider a bid from all responsible sources. The solicitation package, FA4608-14-B-0001, will be posted at the Federal Business Opportunity Website (www.fbo.gov) on or about TUESDAY, AUGUST 5, 2014. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available; interested parties will have to download the solicitation package. Once the solicitation is posted, it is the responsibility of the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 113310 with size standard 500 people. In order to be awarded a contract with the federal government, vendors must be registered at www.sam.gov {(FAR 52.204-7, System For Award Management (SAM) - it takes 4 - 10 days to get registered)}.
