- Presolicitation Notice The Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Ocean Service (NOS), Charleston, SC, has a requirement for UPS Battery Maintenance and inspection Services as specified in the Statement of Work provided with the solicitation. Award of a firm fixed price purchase order is anticipated utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contract is expected to be awarded on or about August 11, 2014. The applicable NAICS number is 811310 and the small size standard is $7.5 million. The Federal Supply Class is J059. This is a 100% Total Small Business Set-aside. All responsible sources may submit a quote that shall be considered by the agency. To be eligible for award, vendors must obtain a DUNS number (this may be done by calling 1-800-333-0505) and be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM): www.sam.gov. The solicitation will be available electronically on or about July 24, 2014 via FedBizOpps at www.fedbizopps.gov. Amendments to the solicitation will also be provided on the Internet using the same protocol listed above. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Quotes are to remain effective for 30 days after close of solicitation. Contractors are encouraged to register with FedBizOpps Vendor Notification Service.
