- Special Notice: The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS), National Reconditioning Center (NRC) is awarding a Purchase Order for the repair services of the following equipment: 10 each TRANSFORMER, CHARGING AND HOLDING TANK, PN: 7480A01G01, ASN: R400-3A7T2 to Sora Power, Inc. Sole Source Justification: The Government only knows of one responsible source, the original equipment manufacturer, Sora Power, Inc. Multiple searches of the Small Business Administration (SBA) Dynamic Small Search did not identify any other small business available to compete for this required repair service. Search parameters included a combination of NAICS code and key words: ‘335311' and ‘repair, NEXRAD, charging transformer, t2' and just key words: ‘repair, NEXRAD, charging transformer, t2'; ‘repair, NEXRAD, charging transformer' and ‘repair, T2, transformer'. A search of 'Repair NEXRAD Charging Transformer'; 'Repair NEXRAD transformer'; and 'Repair transformer T2' in GSA's eLibrary returned no matches. A sources sought was posted on FedBizOpps on July 14, 2014 for 7 days.
