- Revised Fire Plan Amendment 1 PLEASE NOTE: Some areas are restricted and no access will be allowed until further notice (See Amendment 1). Contact Julie Roberts at 559-877-2218 x 3159 for current access information. The bid closing date has been extended to August 15, 2014. The purpose of this contract is to reduce brush, release and thin conifers, and prepare sites in stands by mechanically shredding/mulching/chipping live and dead brush, created and existing slash, small dead conifers, and live conifers. Operating the equipment in a safe and practical manner continuously on 0 to 45 percent slope and on short pitches up to 50 percent slope, while protecting soil conditions.Work shall be done in a manner that does not damage residual trees or vegetation not specified to be treated including resource protected sites and all leave trees. Work is to be performed on the Bass Lake Ranger District, Sierra National Forest. There are approximately 471 acres to be treated.
