RFQ This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only Request for Quote (RFQ). Written quotes are being requested. The entire solicitation is attached. The National Marine Fisheries Service Conservation Biology Division of the Northwest Fisheries Science Center (NWFSC) has a requirement for 96 Well Genomic Extraction kits. We require a total of 132,824 individual extractions. These extractions must come in a 96 well plate. The total number of plates delivered will be 144. The plates can be shipped in any combination of 144 by 1 plate, 36 by 4 plates, 24 by 6 plates or 12 by 12 plates. All kits MUST meet the following technical specifications: - Tissue lysis tubes must be the equivalent of Qiagen Collection microtubes (Item# 19560) - Tissue lysis tubes must be in a 96 well 8X12 format. - DNA extraction plate must be compatible with a Qiagen Biorobot 8000 (vacuum extraction) - DNA extraction plate must have 96 wells in an 8X12 format - Kit must be able to be used in centrifuge for manual spin extraction - must be able to handle up to 20 mg of tissue - must produce typical DNA yields of 10-20 ug from 20 mg of tissue - must produce typical DNA yields of 3-6 ug from 100ul of blood - must utilize silica membrane technology for DNA purification (liquid compatibility with robot systems) This procurement is 100% set aside to small business concerns under the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 334516 with a size standard of 500 employees. The government intends to issue a firm fixed price purchase order, the required delivery date is no later than Sept 30, 2014. All quotes must be FOB destination, Seattle WA 98112.
