Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY and a SOLICITATION IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. This notice is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or an obligation on the part of the Government. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals. Submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary. The government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred associated to this request for capability information. USDA, ARS, EBSC is seeking a contractor to provide a Building Automation System Service Agreement to support research needs at the National Center Animal Health (NCAH) in Ames, IA. The scope of work is for the Contractor to provide all services needed for technical support services and operator coaching, system performance updates and upgrades and associated onsite training, software support and updates, BSL3 Lab System calibration, and network maintenance of the existing Siemens Industry Inc., (1000 Deerfield Parkway Buffalo Grove, IL 60089) Building Automation System. The Eastern Business Service Center (EBSC) is issuing this sources sought request as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to provide the supervision, labor, materials, plant, equipment, and supplies necessary to provide the aforementioned services for NCAH. The result of this market research will contribute to determining whether there are adequate sources available from which to receive competitive proposals. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code to be assigned to this procurement is 811219. Submission Instructions: Interested parties, who consider themselves qualified to provide the service as detailed are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice providing technical data sufficient to determine their capability to meet the entire requirement and must be received in this office 2:00 PM (CDT) July 30, 2014. If your organization has appropriate qualifications and capacity to provide this Service, please provide the following information: (1) A complete and current record of your System for Award Management (SAM) registration which includes DUNS number, Organization name, address, contact name, email address, Web site address, telephone number, type of organization, small business type (if any), etc; (2) A list of previous customers (Federal Preferred) which were provided products similar in nature (3) Literature showing the qualifications of personnel/company to provide services including licenses, licensing, and factory authorization certification. EBSC requests that potential sources only submit the minimum information necessary. All questions or responses under this Sources Sought Notice shall be sent to Mark O. Volk, Contract Specialist via email mark.volk@ars.usda.gov, or mail 1815 N. University Peoria Illinois 61604. All communication shall be in writing referencing AG-32SC-SS-14-AMESBAS preferably by email. No information will be taken by telephone. THIS IS A NOTICE FOR SOURCES SOUGHT. No feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions. However, EBSC may contact sources to gather additional information as needed.
