- Description
- This acquisition is to provide services for initial installation and ongoing support for an Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics 350 Automated Chemistry Analyzer owned by the Government. Service must include preventive maintenance, inspections, calibrations, software upgrades, FDA recall or alert notifications and repairs to include part costs required to correct equipment malfunctions throughout the period of the contract. Additionally, Contractor must provide in writing the schedule for routine maintenance and service on all covered equipment. Contractor will also provide a 24 hour on-call emergency troubleshooting/repair hotline, with on-site repair technicians dispatched within one business day of contact. Services include reagents, supplies, and consumables for which the contractor will utilize for on-site support at Barksdale AFB. Period of Performance is 12 months with four (4) twelve-month option periods. Solicitation will be issued sole source to Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics. Authority: 10 USC 2304(c)(1), Justification: Only One or a Limited Number of Responsible Sources and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii) in accordance with FAR 6.303 and 6.304. The primary justification purpose for FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii) is reagents are provided solely via the manufacturer and contract agreement includes service and repair as part of the reagent purchase. This is a notice of intent, not a request for quotes. A determination not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
