Description
The F-35 Joint Program Office intends to issue multiple contract orders under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-14-G-0020 on a sole source basis to Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, Fort Worth, TX, for retrofit modifications to F-35 Lightning II aircraft. The supplies and services will include development of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and the procurement and installation of retrofit modification kits for correction of aircraft deficiencies. The supplies and services contracted under these orders will be delivered or performed by 30 September 2018. The proposed contract actions are for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company under authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Government will furnish the necessary aircraft and depot space for the retrofit modifications to be performed. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement. All responses received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
