- features/specifications Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and technical capability of qualified small businesses, including 8(a) small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, woman-owned small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or HUBZone small businesses capable of providing the following brand name or equal to Eppendorf's cEPA LE Centrifuge and components to include: •cEPA LE high-speed Centrifuge •Electrical Configuration (60HZ) •Adjustable Separating Cylinder •Bottom Valve •Clarifying Cylinder "SK", BOT.VAL •Foil 188X142X0. 5MM Teflon, LE The centrifuge is needed for use in the clarification and separation of mixtures created during the synthesis of the DARPA ketone ester. The cEPA is able to separate the mixture in ᷉30 minutes. The "bench" model size is appropriate for the volumes of mixtures being worked with and the available space allotted in the laboratory for which it is to be housed/used. See attached for cEPA features, etc. Interested firms with the capability of providing the required service are requested to submit a capability statement to assist the Government in determining in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.502-2(b) whether or not this procurement will be set-aside for any of the programs described above. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code 334516 with a size standard of 500 employees. All respondents are requested to identify their firm's size and type of business. Interested firms responding to this market survey must provide (a) capability statement demonstrating their experience, skills and capability to fulfill the Government's requirements for the above. The capability statement shall be in sufficient enough detail, so that the Government can determine the experience and capability of your firm to provide the products above. A copy of the capability statement must be received via email to robinsti@mail.nih.gov prior to 10:00 a.m. eastern standard time on July 29, 2014. Capability statement must reference solicitation# NICHD-14-066. Submission by email must also reference solicitation # NICHD-14-066 in the subject line of the email. Capability statement/responses by fax WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Any questions must be sent via email to robinsti@mail.nih.gov and must include solicitation# NICHD-14-066 in the subject line of email. Capability statements, etc will not be returned to firm/sender.
