- Sources Sought Perform Weapon Systems Support 1. NOTICE: This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought Synopsis to determine potential sources for information and planning purposes only. 2. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if Responsible sources exist, to assist in determining if this effort can be competiti v e and/or a total Small Business Set - A s ide. The proposed North American Industry Clas s ification Systems (NAICS) Code is 561990 which have a corresponding Size s tandard of $10.00, The Government will use this in f ormation to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. 3. The Government is interested in increasing competition and small business utilization - specifically socioeconomic programs as defined by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 19 (including 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, Hubzone, and Women-Owned small business concerns). Responses should include small business status as related to the listed NAICS. Additionally, please provide any anticipated teaming arrangements, along with a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers for the past three years. Any responses involving teaming agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners. 4. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought. Any information submitted by respondents to this notice is strictly voluntary. Any subsequent information relating to this notification will be posted to www.fbo.gov. All responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis must be submitted to the point of contact listed above. This does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that procurement will be accomplished and is not a request for proposal or invitation for bid. Responding to this notice in no manner guarantees a contract will be awarded. 5. The USAF is seeking potential contractors to perform weapon system support for the Maverick missile). Interested vendors need to possess and be able to demonstrate capability in the following areas. (A-C) A. On- call weapon system support: Provide test, engineering, training, administration, analysis, technical data, and computer programming support as needed. The contractor shall provide technical support to include, but not limited to: validate ECPs, validate technical manual changes, feasibility studies, engineering analyses, analyses of field problems, resolution of functional issues, obsolescence studies/resolution, and Aging and Surveillance testing/analyses. B. Lithium Battery Temperature Alarm Paint Aging Study: R esearch of aging issues related to the Temperature Alarm Paint used on the Lithium Battery, and development of interim field level electrical test procedures to verify battery squib integrity. C. HAS Pump Dragon Valve Obsolescence Study: T he investigation and selection of a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) replacement for the Hydraulic Actuation System (HAS) Pump Dragon Valve, in order to mitigate obsolescence issues.
