- This is the synopsis is for the annual requirement for bulk fuels AN8 and JP5 in the Antarctic region. The ordering period is the date of award through January 31, 2015. The delivery period is December 1, 2014 through January 31, 2015 with a 30-day carryover. The 30-day carryover period allows for delivery orders to be placed prior to the end of the ordering period. Details of the requirements for this procurement are as follows: Turbine Fuel, Aviation (AN8) NSN: 9130-01-373-0208, Specification MIL-DTL-83133H DATED September 14, 2012, Quantity: 4,500,000 US Gallons (USG), Purchase Program 1.1k. Note: The Total Sulfur Content shall not exceed 15 ppm. Turbine Fuel, Aviation (JP5), NSN 9130-00-273-2379, Specification MIL-DTL-5624V, DATED July 11, 2013, Quantity: 500,000 US Gallons (USG), Purchase Program 1.1k. Note: The Total Sulfur Content shall not exceed 15 ppm. Copies of the solicitation will be available via the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) webpage at www.fbo.gov. A posting notice will be sent to the firms on the solicitation mailing list on the date the solicitation is issued and posted on the FedBizOpps webpage. If you intend to submit an offer, you are requested to return a completed and signed "Offeror Submission Package" to the Defense Logistics Agency Energy Bid Custodian before the closing date and time to facsimile 703-767-9044. Email offers are authorized via BulkFuelsBidCustodian@dla.mil. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered. One or more of the items under this acquisition may be subject to an Agreement on Government Procurement approved and implemented in the United States by the Trade Agreement Act of 1979.
