- PROJECT LOCATION Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, Darrington Ranger District, Washington State, Snohomish County NAME AND PROJECT DESCRIPTION Southside Suiattle Decommissioning - The intent of this contract is to provide for Road Decommissioning of forest roads on the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, Darrington Ranger District. Construction consists of culvert removal and disposal, excavation, roadway obliteration road closures, and re-establishment of stream channels. Disturbed areas will be seeded and mulched. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation and supplies, and perform all work required according with drawings and specifications of the Southside Suiattle FSR 25 contract. The Contractor shall assume all risk, loss, damage, or expense arising out of prosecution of the work, except as otherwise provided in the contract. DECOMMISSIONING LOCATION FSR 2500-016, 2510-012, 2700-005 DRIVING DIRECTIONS FOR INTERESTED QUOTERS All project roads are located on the Darrington Ranger District. Each road may be accessed by State Route Hwy 530, 7 miles north of Darrington WA at the intersection with FSR 26, Suiattle. On FSR 26, travel approx. 9.8 miles to the intersection of FSR 25. Turn onto FSR 25, S. Side Suiattle, and cross Boundary Bridge. Travel on FSR 25 to access the following roads - FSR 2500-016 and FSR 2700-005: T 32 N, R11 E, SECTION 16. To access project road 2510-012 travel 0.9 miles on FSR 25 to the intersection with FSR 2510. On FSR 2510 travel to the intersection with project road FSR 2510-012: T 32 N, R 11 E, SECTION 7, 8. DESIRED DATE FOR STARTING WORK August 28, 2014 ESTIMATED CALENDAR DAYS TO PERFORM WORK Sixty (60) PRE-BID MEETING A pre-bid meeting will not be held, so it is each quoter's responsibility to visit the project location to ensure the submitted quote reflects field conditions. DISCLOSURE OF THE MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS (FAR 36.204) Between $25,000 - $100,000 CONTRACT TYPE The government contemplates the award of one Construction, Firm-Fixed-Price contract from this solicitation. BONDING REQUIREMENTS A payment bond will be required. LABOR RATES REQUIRED Davis-Bacon Act (DBA) applies to this procurement.
