Description
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Inouye Regional Center (IRC), located on Ford Island, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, includes a marine science seawater facility (SWS), located adjacent to IRC Building 130. The facility conducts research on marine animals such as fish, turtles, monk seals, corals, a nd invertebrates. Under the terms of this Statement of Work, the contractor will repair and fiberglass seven (7), pools used to temporarily house the marine animals. The successful Contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, material, equipment, services, supplies, supervision, to perform this work. This statement of work establishes the minimum level of work that is to be provided under this contract. At a minimum, the sucessful Contractor shall ensure that all work is consistent with industry-wide best practices. Contactor shall verify existing conditions and measurements to ensure the installation meets all applicable codes and owner's requirements. There are currently seven (7) above-ground fiberglass pools at the NOAA IRC Facility located on Ford Island that need remediation. Each pool is 4-6 feet deep and 20 - 24 feet in diameter with a flat bottom. The interior of the pools currently have various areas on the sides and bottoms that have deteriorated and cracked and/or have damaged areas to the fiberglass which have caused leaks and must be repaired. This requirement is for the fiberglassing and remediation of seven (7) pools as needed. The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238350 and the size standard is $14.0 million. Any resulting contract will be awarded on a firm-fixed-price basis. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be issued.
