- Description
- This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because a statute exists that expressly authorizes or requires that the acquisition be made from a specific source or through another agency (FAR 6.302-5); specifically, Sole source awards under the 8(a) Program. Per FAR 6.302-5 a J&A is not required for this award. The contractor shall furnish all parts, material, labor, equipment and supervision necessary to complete the work for Building 277 Repair Model Shop and Conference Room. Demolition includes removing a portion of existing wall to a width of 3'0 quote mark to a height of 6'8 quote mark in two (2) locations; removing a door and frame; removing existing HVAC diffuser and light fixture near new wall construction; removing existing projector and projection screen; removing duplex electrical outlets as per user's direction and either terminate at closets junction box or revise to quadplex outlets; demolishing / adjusting existing ceiling grid for new location of projector and projection screen; removing all flooring and wall, prep floor for new flooring; removing existing ceiling over new corridor construction. Construction consists of providing and installing new fire partition wall; providing and installing new hard lid 1 hour rated ceiling; continuous tunnel framing per IBC section 708.4 exception # 3 framing shall be per UL drawing U432; providing new cased openings in two locations up to a height of 6'-8 quote mark ; providing new carpet and wall base; providing electrical quadplex outlets and power pole drops per users direction; relocating existing light and diffuser and adjust ceiling grid and tiles as due to new wall add; patching, texturing and painting to match all existing walls; tape, float, texture and paint to match existing new wall; installing new cipher lock; providing two (2) new HVAC cooling units, and associated power; providing a stainless steel cover plates for all new electrical outlets; providing power in ceiling for new projector locations; saw cutting floor and provide conduit and one floor quadplex outlet to be located per users direction, patch floor and level out to match existing floor; providing and installing new panic exiting device on existing door; providing and installing new 1' x 4' fluorescent surface mounted ceiling light, switch to existing corridor lights.
