- The General Services Administration, Region 2, Public Buildings Service intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for a general contractor to perform the work described in the scope of work listed below. The work will be performed for the Social Security Administration on the 33 rd Floor Annex, 26 Federal plaza, New York, NY 10278. SCOPE OF WORK: Removal and installation of 860 square yards of carpet tiles. Purchase of 1,032 square yards of 24”x24” carpet tiles. This will include 20% extra carpet. Contractor shall furnish and paint 15,142 square feet of drywall, 1,824 square feet of doors and frames; and 2,100 square feet of convectors, soffits, and columns. They shall remove 2,150 linear feet of cove base and furnish and install 2,150 of new cove base. They shall furnish and install 100 linear feet of pine wood chair rail. Moving services are required. Moving includes but is not limited to moving furniture, shelves, tables, chairs, etc. in all offices and approximately 11,520 square feet of open area. Contractor shall furnish and install 800 square feet vinyl composition floor tiles and perform clean up services. ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: Is between $100,000 to $250,000. Firm Fixed Contract NAICS Code: 236220 TYPE OF SETASIDE: 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business TENTATIVE DATES: Issuance of Solicitation: On or About August 4, 2014 via www.FBO.gov. Site visit: A site visit will be scheduled for on or about August 14, 2014. Further details will be provided in the solicitation. NO DISCUSSIONS WILL BE HELD AT THE SITE VISIT. Request for Information: On or About August 20, 2014. All questions must be submitted in writing via email to the POC. Proposals Due: On or About September 4, 2014 Award Date: On or About September 9, 2014 Period of Contract Performance: 90 calendar days after Notice to Proceed FEE FOR SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: Interested parties may download and print the solicitation at no charge from www.fbo.gov. AMENDMENTS TO SOLICITATION: It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor FBO for the release of any amendments. BONDING: Bid bonding is required for this project in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 28.101(a). The successful offeror will be required to provide performance and payment bonds in accordance with FAR 28.102-1. SECURITY: Before employees are allowed to work on this project site, all personnel are required to pass a security check. Forms will be provided to the successful offeror after award. ELIGIBLE OFFERORS: All responsible firms may submit a proposal for consideration. All bidders must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) BEFORE BID OPENING DATE. All prospective offerors are required to have completed the Representations and Certifications in SAM.
