- The NAICS Code is 811219. The small business size standard is $20.5M. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The proposed sole source is for the following services: The services to be provided shall consist of furnishing all necessary parts (including plastics coverage), labor, and transportation required to repair and maintain the following Government-owned Hologic Mammography Systems: a.Hologic Digital Mammography System, Model Selenia, EE# 95218, SN: 29404083262 b.Hologic Digital Stereo Loc II, SN: 20604080075 c.Cenova CAD, SN: C0141 Telephone technical support, factory certified parts, supplied by the Contractor at their own expense, and labor are all included as part of this yearly service. In addition, two schedule preventative maintenance inspections will be performed during the year of service. The contractor's unique qualifications are as follows: Hologic is the original equipment manufacturer of the Hologic Selenia Mammography System. They are the only authorized maintenance service provider of these units and maintain proprietary rights of replacement parts and servicing of this equipment. No other vendor is authorized to obtain replacement parts for the Hologic Selenia Mammography System. Proprietary software and hardware that is required to service this equipment makes this a sole source acquisition. Hologic does not authorize third party companies to service their equipment and will not agree to repair damages made by third party companies or unauthorized technicians on the equipment. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotation received within a reasonable time period after the publishing of this notice, and prior to award, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
